Shelly Orr Priebe is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience working with CEOs and executives. Priebe & Associates offers best of class counsel in executive coaching and business consulting.
Prior to founding Priebe and Associates, Shelly served as President of McElroy Translation for ten years. She directed rapid growth in technology innovations while retraining and managing 300+ staff and contractors in a global, competitive and changing marketplace.
For the last two decades Shelly encouraged clients to move international sales and marketing upstream to product design and content development, making language and cultural adaption a strategic element rather than a downstream, go-to-market, last minute reality. Within that framework Shelly has helped clients define translation spend as investment and has guided their ROI calculations.
Shelly has lived and worked abroad and has managed global teams. She also directed development and implementation of a technical platform to enable work “in the cloud” and has published, spoken and trained international audiences on the hot topic of collaboration through crowdsourcing.
Shelly developed an appreciation for languages and cultures while acquiring an MBA in International Marketing at Ècole Supèrieure du Commerce in Pau, France. She is married with four children and resides in Austin, TX. “Life balance” means finding time to coach youth volleyball and soccer, teach an elementary school leadership program, serve as a church youth leader, and act in a theatre troupe. She also serves on the elected Board of GALA (Globalization and Localization Association) and serves local philanthropies regularly as a committed member of National Charity League.
